Feminist Dalit Organization (FEDO) organized 5 days Training of Trainers (ToT) on Leadership and Human Rights under its project 'Increasing Dalit Women's Political Participation for Sustainable Peace in Nepal'.
The training is targeted for the 20 Dalit women leaders affiliated to different political parties. These leaders were nominated from their respective parties to participate in the empowerment programme under the aforementioned project.
The major objective of this training was to train Dalit women leaders engaged in different political parties so that they can be better leaders. To strengthen the leadership capacity of Dalit women leaders and to identify the positive aspects and the shortcomings of the training manual.In the opening session of the training Mr. Bhim Bahadur B.K, the Executive Director of FEDO talked about the leadership. At that time he said politics is the most important part of every human being this is why we Dalit women need to more involvement in the different political parties and has to develop their capacity within the parties. If Dalit women cannot show their active role within the party they never get opportunities in the every sector of the state he added. Training was facilitated by Mukesh Malla. There were 22 Dalit women participated in the Training.
