FEDO provided educational support materials to the earthquake affected 452 students belong to Dalit and marginalized community from 18 government schools at the 4 VDCs and 2 municipalities' of three districts namely Nuwakot, Dhading and Sindhupalchwok. The educational support includes school uniform (shirt, pant/skirt), bag, copies, pen, geometry box and pencil was provided sufficiently for an academic year. Simultaneously the safe kits include medicine, water purifier liquid, mosquito net and soap was also provided to their families.
Considering last year massive earthquake in Nepal, FEDO provided those items targeting mostly vulnerable community with the aim of supporting and motivating students for contributing their further study. Similarly, the earthquake survivors are still compelled to stay in temporary shelter with unsafe condition and they might be attached anytime from seasonable disease as they are using contaminated drinking water in the monsoon & rainy season. In this condition, FEDO provided such safer kits for the vulnerable community as well as conducted them awareness programs about health and sanitation at the same time. Almost 500 people from Dalit and marginalized communities were convinced and aware of with health and sanitation in the monsoon and rainy season.
