Due to her thirst for change in the status of Dalit women, she came across with FEDO's programs. FEDO helped her to be involved in the project funded by International Women Program (IWP). She got an opportunity to be engaged in group formation with the help of FEDO's staffs. She took part in a number training for leadership development and public speaking events. She has now acquired the knowledge regarding the importance of organization, group formation and team efforts.
With the support of FEDO she has now occupied a number of leadership positions (President to PAF, Treasurer to DAO, Member to CDC and School Management Committee) actively mobilizing and facilitating the other Dalit Women for their empowerment and emancipation.
She is already an established Dalit women leader in the community and she influences in the decision making of the Government's resources fairly allocated for the development of Dalit Community.
FEDO is a national level Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) founded in 1994 to establish the rights of Dalit women by organizing and empowering them for their mainstreaming into national development. [+ read more]
