Annual Report 2022

The Feminist Dalit Organization (FEDO) is a Nepal-based non-profit, apolitical, and secular nongovernmental organization founded in 1994

With a vision of ‘just and equitable
society’, FEDO puts Dalit women at the
core of its initiatives, recognizing them as
rights holders equally entitled to live with
dignity. The organization works on two
levels: empowering Dalit communities and
similarly marginalized groups (horizontal)
and advocating duty bearers to take
deliberate action on Dalit women’s issues
(vertical). Centered on a human rights based approach, FEDO’s interventions
focus on five strategic pillars, namely:
Š Economic empowerment
Š Human rights and access to Justice
Š Leadership development and
participation
Š Inclusive governance and social justice
Š Gender-responsive humanitarian assistance
